BLANKED KYOTO is a directly operated store of Nakamori, a textile manufacturer whose roots date back to 1951. Choose from around 30 yarn colours and weave a bookmark, omamori charm or sacoche bag. We also offer gauze products made by Nakamori. The store is 30 seconds from Gion-Shijo Station.
Hand Weaving Experience
Our small-group experience is suitable for guests aged six and over. No previous weaving experience is required, and you can take your finished piece home on the same day.
Prices include tax. We have four looms and can host up to four guests per session across all courses.
Made by Nakamori
Nakamori produces gauze textiles at its own factory in Gamagori, Aichi. Its work includes product planning, weave design, yarn selection and sourcing, weaving, cutting, sewing, inspection, packaging and sales.
The company continues the multi-layer gauze weaving techniques developed by its founder, Tsukasa Nakase.
